Features and Applications
- It is used for hardfacing of materials subject to impact, pressure, abrasion, corrosion and high temperature or combination of these
- Die molds, extruder screws, hot cutting and working boil steels, shafts, pumps, valves and seats
- Depending on the friction and impact, the hardness is increased in the weld metal.
- It has high resistance against cavitation.
- For this reason, it is used as a hard filling electrode against wear caused by fluids such as turbine blades and pump fans.
- Buffer filling can be done with electrodes such as ELOX 307 and ELOX 309 before application.
