Typical Base Material Grades
- Joints and mixed joints between austenitic stainless steels, austenitic and heat resistant steels, duplex stainless steels.
Features and Applications
- Dissimilar joint welds – overlay welding the first corrosion resistant surface layer on P235GH, P265GH, S255N, P295GH, S355N – S500N and high-temperature quenched and tempered fine-grained steels.
- The lower carbon content of the weld metal reduces the possibility of intergranular corrosion and increases the ferrite content (16-20 FN). This in turn reduces the potential for solidification cracking when deposited onto carbon or low-alloy steels.
- Re-drying: 120-200ºC / 2 h.
